2 Inverter
9 Measuring lead
Example: Measurement of the ground conductor re-
sistance
(A) – release on power module lid
- If necessary, the wall bracket must be lightly
scratched in order to penetrate the Eloxal or powder
layer
-
The resistance must not exceed 0.3
*)
*) These requirements relate to DIN VDE 0701-0702 and ÖVE/ÖNORM E8701-1. In addi-
tion, individual national requirements and standards must also be observed.
Ground conduc-
tor current
Preparation
-
Measurement should only be carried out once the ground conductor resistance test
has been carried out successfully
-
Direct process: The device must be insulated from ground. There must be no addition-
al connections to the ground potential (e.g. data leads, assembly)
-
Remove conductive objects from the housing
-
Mount missing housing parts.
Once the inverter has been connected, it must be put back into operation. For the mea-
surement, the inverter must feed into the grid, as failure to do this will lead to an incorrect
measurement result.
Only the leakage currents which occur at grid frequency may be used (50–60 Hz function
of the current injection probe). High frequency leakage currents distort the measurement
results *).
*) These requirements relate to DIN VDE 0701-0702 and ÖVE/ÖNORM E8701-1. In addi-
tion, individual national requirements and standards must also be observed.
Two processes may be used for measuring the ground conductor current:
-
Direct process: Device must be insulated and may not be linked to another ground po-
tential.
-
Differential current process:
WARNING!
Set DC disconnector of the inverter to level 0 and insert the inverter
in the wall bracket. Installing the inverter means that voltage is now also present
at the inverter.
WARNING!
An electric shock can be fatal. During the measurement, there are
voltages at the inverter.
