INSERTER BELT TENSION

PURPOSE: To ensure that the belt tension is correct.

ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE:
-

 

The machine must be off and open with the covers removed.

-

 

Undo screw (1) by one or two turns to release lever (2).

-

 

Replace document support plate (3), if it has been removed.

-

 

Place cam (4) in the position shown in the figure opposite.

-

 

Rotate inserting roller (5) a few turns by its rubber rollers in the direction of operation in order
to tension the belt correctly.

-

 

Tighten screw (1).

NOTE:
Incorrect adjustment of the insertion belt tension may give rise to noise, skewed insertion,
envelope feed faults or rapid wear of the loading roller.

Do not rotate the inserting roller by folding roller (6) (incorrect adjustment).
Take care not to soil or get grease on the inserting roller.
