4.3.3 CAM
POSITION
AND CAM BELT TENSION
PURPOSE: To synchronise the position of the cams to ensure the correct tension of the cam belt.
ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE:

Ensure that the position of the RH cams is symmetrical to that of the LH cam
-
Undo securing screw (1) which adjusts the cam belt.

Introduce two 3 mm-diameter rods (0,12 in.) through the left rear and left front cams and the
machine bottom side plate. If necessary, move one of the cams in relation to the toothed belt.

Tighten the belt adjustment fixing screw.
NOTE:
-
Incorrect synchronisation of the cams causes machine operating fault (sealing and ejection
faults)
-
Incorrect belt tension gives rise to abnormal operating noise and may cause the cams to
become out of synchronisation and machine to stop.
