Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Definition
Cooling/Ventilation for schematic and connector
information.
The following DTC relates to the traction battery
cooling/ventilation system:
Inspection and Verification
•
DTC B2513 Blower (Fan) Circuit Failure
— The traction battery support tray contains a
flow-thru fan that draws in outside air to cool
the battery pack and a recirculation fan for
recirculating the air to maintain even
temperature within the battery pack. The
battery control module (BCM) sets DTC
B2513 if a failure occurs with the flow-thru
fan or recirculation fan. The BCM uses PIDs
to indicate if a flow-thru fan or recirculation
fan fault occurs. A flow-thru fan fault occurs
if the BCM does not receive a feedback signal
when the flow-thru fan is enabled or if it
receives a feedback signal after it has been
disabled. A recirculation fan fault occurs if the
BCM does not receive a feedback signal when
the recirculation fan has been enabled.
