Genlock Adjustments: Subcarrier Phase Adjustment
The sub carrier phase adjustment allows color frame synchronization and correct color reproduction. This function is
only available if the Genlock source is enabled. Selecting Sub carrier Phase Adj will display the following control to
adjust the sub carrier phase in steps of 1.41 degrees:

Use the + and - buttons to change the sub carrier phase adjustment. The changes will affect the output NTSC/PAL
video. When done, press SEL to save the value or ESC to stop changing the Sub carrier Genlock Phase and return
to the previous menu.
Flicker Filter
Selecting the adaptive flicker filter control by highlighting FlkFlt and pressing SEL displays a menu similar to the
following. Press + or - to see the effects of the currently selected setting on the output NTSC/PAL video monitor.
Press SEL to keep the current filter setting or press ESC to cancel any changes and return to the Main Menu. The
flicker filter is recommended when converting images in “windowed” environments or where single pixel lines or wire
frame images are prevalent.

The following Adaptive Flicker Filter control settings are available:

1 .. 6 to achieve the best output. This will vary with the types of images being displayed. Use the sharpness
adjustment with this adjustment to achieve the best output.
UnderScan
Selecting UndScn by pressing the + or - buttons and pressing SEL will display a control similar to the following. Unlike
computer monitors, many NTSC or PAL monitors over scan the image, causing some of the data around the edges of
the screen to be cut off the screen. In order to see the whole workstation image, it may be necessary for the user to
turn on underscan. This will shrink the output picture by 12% to make it fit on the visible portion of the NTSC or PAL
output monitor. Press SEL save the current settings or ESC to cancel any changes. The Main Menu will then be
displayed.
