Checking the valve functions
Manual override
WARNING
Before operating the manual override:
Uncontrolled actuation of the valve solenoid coils can
cause sudden undesired movement of the actuators,
resulting possibly in injury to humans and damage to
property.
•
Disconnect the operating voltage supply for the
valve solenoid coils from the relevant connections
of the CPA valve terminal.
You thereby avoid undesired actuation of the valve
solenoid coils.
Before switching on the operating voltage:
When manual override functions are in the switched
position, actuators can perform sudden undesired
movements, resulting possibly in injury to humans
and damage to property.
•
Make sure that all manual override actuations
are in the basic position again.
You thereby avoid undefined switching states of the
valves.
You should use the manual override principally when
commissioning the pneumatic system, in order to check
the functioning and effects of the valve or of the valve-
cylinder combination.
By actuating the manual override, you can switch the
valve without an electric signal. Only the compressed
air supply needs to be switched on.
