Commissioning information
4.1
General information on commissioning
Configuration and commissioning of the controller CECX-K-D1 is performed using the ap-
propriate software (e.g. FCT software with GFDM plug-in).
Detailed information on commissioning the diagnostic module can
be found in the online help for the relevant software as well as in
the accompanying system description for the diagnostic module
(e.g. Festo Energy Monitoring GFDM).
The firmware as well as the respective applications are stored on a Compact Flash memory
card that must be inserted in the plug-in slot of the central module for operation.

Operational behaviour of the central module
4.2.1
Start-up behaviour
The start-up behaviour is divided into the following three main sections:
-
start-up of the boot block,
-
start-up of the firmware,
-
start-up of the application.
The progress of the start-up process is indicated on the 7-segment display.
-
Numbers > 0 indicate the progress when starting up the boot system and the controller
firmware.
-
Specific characters and letters (e.g. L, II, etc.) describe the start-up of the application
or various operating states of the device.
-
During start-up, the decimal point indicates the capacity utilisation of the CPU. A flash-
ing decimal point means the CPU is not being utilised to full capacity.
-
An error display is activated if errors are detected during start-up. Errors are displayed
in parallel with the states. The display alternates information, starting with the status
and then the two- or three-digit error number (e.g. "-,0,-,E,1,0"). Each character is dis-
played for 1 second.
