Switching inductive loads 

The module does not contain any internal free-wheeling diode for absorbing the inductive 
energy when inductive loads are switched off. The inductive load rating is 1 J per channel 
at 0.2 Hz.  

The inductive load rating of the outputs can be increased by connecting an external free-
wheeling diode, however this significantly increases the switch-off time.  

 

 

In the case of high inductivity: 

 

Use a free-wheeling diode.

Parallel connection of outputs 

Two outputs can be connected in parallel. This does not increase the inductive load rating 
of the digital outputs.
