Information on wiring
EMC-compatible wiring and screening is a decisive factor in the interference immunity of
an electrical system.
Make sure to carefully wire and screen the components in accor-
dance with the relevant guidelines (see normative references in DIN
EN 61131-2:2004-02).
You do not need to lay the various line connections of the controller (supply line,
analogue line, Ethernet line, etc.) in separate line ducts. The device and/or specific
modules are equipped with pin rows mounted on the front. Suitable plugs with a grid
dimension of 5.08 mm are required for connection.
Use only suitable plugs that guarantee a secure plug connection.
The plugs from the Festo range are suitable (see Appendix A.3).
Cable specification for the Festo plugs (see Appendix A.3):
Min. cable cross section: 0.2 mm² (AWG 24)
Max. cable cross section: 2.5 mm² (AWG 13)
Strip length: 10 mm
Permitted copper conductors
-
Single wire, multi-wire, fine wire, also with tin-plated individual cores
-
Fine wire strands compressed
-
Fine wire with core end sleeves *)
-
Fine wire with pin cable socket *)
*) If necessary, use next smaller cable cross section
