1. Introduction
A rescue boat is carried for the protection of every one on
board. However it can only fulfil its task, if every one on
board is acquainted with the whole rescue boat, its
functions and operation. Only permanent practice gives
confidence to the rescue boat and prevents mistakes of
handling in case of danger.
1. Einleitung
Ein Bereitschaftsboot wird zum Schutz jedes Einzelnen an
Bord mitgeführt. Es kann seine Aufgabe jedoch nur
erfüllen, wenn auch jeder an Bord mit dem
Bereitschaftsboot, seiner Funktion und Handhabung
vertraut ist. Nur dauernde Übung schafft Vertrauen zum
Bereitschaftsboot und vermeidet Fehler im Notfall.

Just so important is an unobjectionable technical condition
of the boat, which is reached by regular maintenance.
This instruction manual cannot, as a matter of course, be
complete, nor can it cover all operating situations or
situations of danger met with when operating the boats.
Each user of the boat should familiarise himself with the
boat before he starts his boat-trip or before a situation of
danger arises
This manual shall help you to realise this.

and quote order no. and Year built, which are stamped on
the Fassmer-rescue boat plate, that is placed behind the
steering tower or Shipyard and building Year of the
mother ship.
Remark:
Operation manuals of engine, release system, spare part
lists, drawings, certificates etc. are not part of this manual.
They can be found in the „Lifeboat Documentation“
which is delivered with each boat and should belong to the
ship.

Genauso wichtig ist ein einwandfreier Zustand des Bootes,
der durch regelmäßige Wartung erreicht wird.
Diese Anleitung kann natürlich weder komplett sein noch
kann sie alle Bedienungs- und Gefahrensituationen
abdecken, die beim Betrieb des Bootes auftreten können.
Jeder Benutzer sollte sich mit dem Boot vertraut machen,
bevor er das Boot benutzt oder eine Notsituation entsteht.
Diese Anleitung soll Ihnen dabei helfen.

die auf der FASSMER Plakette hinter dem Steuerstand
eingeschlagen sind, oder Bauwerft und Baujahr des
Mutterschiffes.
Bemerkung:
Bedienungshandbücher für Motor, Auslösevorrichtung,
Ersatzteillisten, Zeichnungen, Zertifikate usw. gehören
nicht zu diesem Handbuch. Sie befinden sich in der
„Lifeboat
Documentation“, die mit jedem
Bereitschaftsboot geliefert wird und sich an Bord des
Mutterschiffes befinden sollte.
