Registering a New Database
To register a database, first make sure that you have the latest chart data available on your machine.
FarSounder provides C-MAP databases upon request, however we strongly recommend contacting C-MAP
directly for their most up-to-date releases.
Once you have the most recent C-MAP chart data, place it in a local folder on your machine (we recommend
C:\cmap_databases
). Then, click the "Register manually" button in the C-MAP Chart Manger window.

Next, browse to the folder where you saved your database and click "OK". If done correctly, the Chart
Manager should tell you that the database registration was successful, and you should be able to see the
newly registered database in the "Registered databases" list as shown in Figure 23.
