5. Tighten the knife holder nuts and make a verifying me-
asurement. Measure both ends of the knife from the top
edge of the base frame. Enter the distance in the memory.
6.
Adjust the second knife to the same distance from the
edge of the base frame as the first knife. Use the distances
measured above as a guide.
7.
Adjust the anvils.
ADJUSTING THE ANVILS
1. Loosen the vertical anvil adjusting nuts D. Loosen the
vertical anvil screws C.
Always adjust the anvils when setting the chip length,
sharpening or changing knives.
Rotate the disk until the cutting edge of the knife is alig-
ned with the vertical anvil.
Measure the knife clearance from the tip of the cutting
knife to the vertical anvil and adjust if necessary. The
knife clearance should be 1-1.5 mm. Use a feeler gauge
to check the correct clearance.
The vertical anvil is adjusted using adjusting nuts D.
