INSTRUCTIONS
DESCRIPTION OF SMART FEED SYSTEM
Farmi Smart Feed –control controls the rotating speed
of chipper’s knife disc. Rotating speed varies during
chipping, depending on load. Smart Feed controls fee-
ding and reversing on the basis of rotating speed infor-
mation. By controlling the feed rollers Smart Feed aims
to keep knife disc rotating speed as constant as pos-
sible. Reduction of variation on rotating speed reduces
fuel consumption of a tractor or a combustion engi-
ne. As a result of more constant rotating speed a more
stable chip quality and more efficient discharging is
achieved. Smart Feed –system works completely automa-
tically, without users need to adjust the control system
settings.

2. Emergency stop push button
3. Control box, which contains feed selector switch and
signal light
4. Feed roller pressure sensor
5. Knife disc rotating speed sensor
