After receiving your machine you will be responsible for and expected to:
● Coordinate the final delivery date and delivery time window with the common carrier that
has been assigned to your delivery. All shipments will be sent to the nearest freight
terminal to your location. At that point, the terminal will contact you for a delivery
appointment. Any changes in your ability to be present at delivery must be
communicated to Everest and the Common Carrier at least 24 hours in advance of the
delivery window.
● Be onsite when the machine(s) are delivered.
● Take every safety precaution regarding moving this machine into its final location.
Although Everest delivers your machine with a liftgate truck, In some cases, a forklift
might be necessary to move the machine(s) into its(their) final location. Accessibility to
and use of a forklift is the machine owners responsibility.
● Have at least two additional people to help you receive this machine. This machine is
roughly eight feet tall and weighs more than 1900 lbs when empty.
● Assist the delivery driver in removing the machine(s) off of the truck, should the driver
need assistance. In most cases, the machines are delivered using a pallet jack and a lift
gate.
● Fully document the delivery condition of the machine(s) by taking pictures of the
machine crate(s) from all sides prior to uncrating the machine, taking particular
consideration to and documentation of the top and bottom corners of the machine.
● Note all damage on the Common Carrier’s delivery receipt, should there be any shipping
damage whatsoever. Failure to document the existence and extent of the damage will
waive your right to make a shipping claim in the future. If shipping damage is present we
recommend writing the following on the delivery receipt,
”DAMAGED SHIPMENT -
internal damage may be present. Accepting shipment upon further review”.
● Have the proper tools required to uncrate the machine. These tools are listed later in the
manual.
● Send all machine shipping pictures to Everest regardless if there is or is not damage
present.
● Follow the machine installation instructions detailed in this manual.
● Work with Everest representatives to commission your machine in order to complete the
installation process. During the commissioning process, you may have an Everest
representative onsite or an Everest representative may walk you through the process
over the phone. If your commissioning is done with a representative onsite, then you are
expected to schedule and be present for the entire commissioning while the
representative is there. Everest will make every effort to work with your schedule in order
to conduct the commissioning step.
