Connecting Utility Services
Drain - Connect a ¾ inch NPT drain fitting and hose under the machine. Route the drain hose
to a dry well, storm drain or sanitary sewer as required by governing agencies.
Water - Install a water shutoff valve outside the machine. Connect a water supply to ½ inch NPT
bulkhead fitting on the lower back of the machine, labeled “Water In”.
Electric - Have a qualified electrician to connect the machine’s power cord to the approved
service connection that was validated and/or installed for the machine site. Please note that the
machine is not shipped with a plug. Consult with your electrician to see if a plug is needed for
your machine’s site.
Final Assembly Items
Install Filter Cartridges - New machines are shipped from the factory with installed, new filter
cartridges. An instruction manual from Everpure also accompanies the filters. Please consult the
Everpure manual for filter installation instructions.
Install Ice Output Chute - Depending upon the shipping method; your machine may be shipped
from the factory, with the ice output chute stowed inside the machine frame in the accessory
box. This is done to protect the output chute from damage during shipping. If your machine’s
ice output is not installed then it is a simple job to put it in the unit. Fit the supplied output chute
into the opening in the right front door. Line up fasteners along the top edge with the holes in the
plastic chute and then maneuver the two holes on the lower chute onto the lower fasteners.
Washers and nuts are provided for output chute installation. Place washers on pems then
fasten nuts. Do not over-tighten.
Note:
If you are re-installing a machine that has been dormant for an extended time then you
should always replace used cartridges with new cartridges.
Install Machine Antenna (Long Slender Antenna with Magnetic Base) - Pull the antenna from
inside the machine after removing the left louver panel. Place the antenna on top of the
machine.
Initial Start Up To The Machine
Turn On Water - Verify that the main inlet valve and the flush valve on the machine filter
manifold are both closed. Shipping vibration can sometimes cause leaks and water spray can
cause severe damage. Very slightly open the main water supply valve, checking for any leaks
