Note:
The machine is certified by the National Automatic Merchandising Association
(https://www.namanow.org/), NAMA, to be safe and healthy. Strict adherence to the
instructions below is necessary to maintain this very important certification.

turn selector to “OFF”
Note:
The steps above specifically pertain to cleaning and maintaining the sterilization of the

Scotsman manual or contact Scotsman directly (https://www.scotsman-ice.com/).
Sanitizing the Water Lines, Fittings and Filters
● Turn off or disconnect the main water supply valve.
● Remove the right side louvered door.
● Drain water at the drain valve, and at the supply line to the Scotsman ice maker. Close
both drain valves.

cartridge holder with sanitizing solution and re-install.
● Turn on the main water supply line.
● Vend one gallon of water.
● Open the drain line at the Scotsman supply line and drain about ½ gallon of water. Close
the valve.
● All lines should now be full of the sanitizing solution.
● Let sit for a minimum of one (1) minute.
● Vend five (5) gallons of fresh water to flush the water system. The sanitizing solution that
is in the ice machine supply lines will be used in sanitizing that system.
