Water should be tested every three (3) months for coliforms. In addition at every service visit
water should be checked for taste, odor and turbidity.
Post Disaster Operations
In the event of contamination of the interior or the exterior of the machine due to hurricanes,
flooding, mudslides, fires, or any other event causing contamination, the machine should
immediately be taken out of service. This could be done by locking out the main circuit breaker.
Upon notification by a Public Health Service that a community’s drinking water is or could be
contaminated by chemical or biological pathogens the following procedure should be followed:
● The machine should be immediately taken out of service.
● Ice made or stored in the bin of the machine must be removed and disposed of after a
boil water notice has been issued.
● Determine if the water supply is safe by contacting the local water company before
starting cleaning procedures.
● If the incoming water is safe, drain the entire system, and purge the system with clean,
safe, potable water for several minutes.
● Change all filters.
● Follow the Cleaning procedures discussed earlier in this manual for “CLEANING AND
SANITIZING THE MACHINE” before beginning normal operations.
PCB Power Cycle ON/OFF
Sometimes the PCB will ask you to do a power OFF / power ON cycle to perform some major
upgrade. This is extremely rare. Cycling power will cause the PCB to lose any and all
information currently stored in volatile memory (excluding firmware and configuration settings
stored in EEPROM). It will lose any unsent vends, unsent credit card transactions, and unsent
vend coupon transactions. If you need to cycle the power to the PCB then you must:
● Shut OFF the main power to the machine.
● Wait 15 seconds.
● Turn the machine power back ON.
● Reconnect the red lead to the battery backup.
Bag Dispenser
New machines are shipped from the factory with the bags installed. You can replace the rack of
bags when the existing rack is more than half used by following the procedure below:
● Place a new set of bags and the used set of bags on a flat surface.
● Open top plastic cap on both racks.
● With firm pressure applied to bags against the rack, against the rack flip the half empty
rack over the newover new rack and align pins.
● Release bags and allow them to allow to slide onto the new rack.
● Close top plastic cap. You should hear and feel it click into place.
● Place bags back onto rack pins.
