MACHINE INSTALLATION AND INITIAL START UP
Lifting the Machine
The machine requires a fork truck, pallet jack, or similar material handling equipment to lift and
move. The forks and/or lifting surfaces must be padded with cardboard or some other protective
material to avoid damaging the powder coated surfaces along the rails on the bottom of the
machine. If the machine is lifted with metal-on-metal then the coating will be damaged and the
lower rails of the machine will rust.
The machine has fork guides on three sides designed for safe
lifting. Do not lift from the front of the machine which has no fork guides.
Alternatively, the machine has four (4) ⅝ inch diameter load-bearing lifting anchor points welded
into the frame near the top corners. These lifting points are designed to be used with swivel type
hoist hardware.
Warning:
During lifting and moving, do not slide the machine across any surface while any
weight is on the leveling feet. The feet absolutely cannot be used as slides and will be
damaged and bent. You must lift, move, and reset the machine to move it even a short
distance.
Warning:
The machine weighs 1,995 lbs. empty and 2,545 lbs. with the ice barrell full, be
sure that any lifting hardware that you use is adequately rated.
Recommended Tools
In order to uncrate the machine, you will need the following:
● 6 foot ladder
● Socket Wrench
● Crescent Wrench
● Drill
● T25 Torx Drill Bit
● Utility Knife
● Hammer / Crowbar
● Three (3) Foot I-Beam Level
Opening the Crate (if machine is delivered in a crate)
Uncrate, unwrap and unpack and remove all foam and plastic wrap from the machine. If using a
utility knife or other sharp object, be certain not to cut into the powder coated finish. Check the
machine completely for any shipping damages. It is the sole responsibility of the owner/operator
to report damages immediately to your distributor and the carrier.
