Ground Speed Radar Calibration
The Distributor’s ground speed is calibrated at the factory. The ground speed displayed on screen is dependent
on the physical radar’s height and angle to the ground. While stationary, the ground speed may be displayed
greater than 0 due to vibrations in the frame.
The following process is used to calibrate the radar:
1.
Set up and measure a 300-foot course that is dry and clear of obstacles and debris on the ground.
2.
Begin driving at approximately 300 feet per minute (90 meters per minute).
3.
Tap the green START button when the radar hits the beginning of the course.
4.
When the radar hits the end of the course, press the red STOP button.
The computer counts a certain number of radar pulses throughout the calibration. The saved calibration value
is given in pulses. The default calibration is 3014. If outside an acceptable range, a fault will activate on the fault
screen. Try calibrating again to ensure there are no issues with the radar, or hold the red Hold to Reset button.

Do not calibrate the radar on a wet road! The
radar does not pick up ground speed correctly if
it is reflected.
