4.6.6 Generate a Panel Recipe
Preparation
The complete recipe of the single cut PCB (single PCB within the panel) including all PCB
definitions is required. This is called the 'original recipe'. On a panel it is possible to have more than
one original recipes with different data.
It pays off to write down all dimensions before beginning:
•
panel size (outer dimensions)
•
number of single cut PCBs in X and Y
•
edge distance of single cut PCB to the edge of the panel in X and Y
•
pitch of single cut PCBs in X and Y. The pitch is calculated by the PCB size of a single cut PCB
(mm) plus the distance to the next single cut PCB (mm).

Enter the PCB definitions of the panel containing the single cut PCBs.

Note: Go through the parameter definitions
without stop. The panel is built
dynamically. That means the parameters
are implemented continuously and are
not stored. Leaving the parameter entry
section will keep the current build but
lose the entered parameters. In certain
circumstances the definition has to be
started from the beginning.
Select Original recipe out of drop down menu.
Select Identifier point out of drop down menu.
The PCB of the original recipe is placed on the bottom left corner of the panel.
Type in the offset in X and Y (edge distance of single cut PCB to the edge of the panel).
Enter the number of single cut PCBs in X and in Y.
Enter the pitch in X and Y.
