Possible cause: No component presented
Produce
Pick Control
double click the faulty feeder lane (1)
The camera window opens automatically and
the head moves to pick position.
Advance or Single advance
If still no component is presented (the feeder
does not advance the tape), check if the feeder is
slid in correctly at feeder rack or check the
mechanical and electrical function).
Possible cause: Components in tape disposing channel or underneath the
downholder
Pull back the tape to avoid wasting components and to avoid aftereffects like tape jam. Adjust pick
position X/Y/Z. Teach the pick position according to the package definition (probably the height
measurement must be done eccentrically if defined that way).
4.4.5 Jumping components during feed
Possible cause: Tape is not clamped properly
Check the tape for proper clamping. Check that the downholder and the tape are properly fitted.
Probably improve clamping by cleaning the tape disposal and removing components lying around.
If the actions do not show any effect, set up another feeder with the component. Indicate
problematic feeder lane for an analysis by Essemtec.
4.4.6 Tape jam on feeder
Possible cause: Tape disposing channel blocked or jammed components
Clean the tape disposal and remove components lying around.
Ensure the tape does not touch an obstruction and is able to run free through the disposal channel.
If the actions do not show any effect, set up another feeder with the component. Indicate
problematic feeder lane for an analysis by Essemtec.
