Environmental Conditions for Transport and Storage
During transport and storage, the O-scan system must be kept in the
following conditions:
☛
Temperature range must be between 0 and 50 °C (32 and 122 °F)
☛
Pressure range: from 500 to 1060 hPa
☛
Relative humidity: from 10 to 95%
☛
Exposure time: not exceeding 15 weeks
☛
Transportation angle: not exceeding 10 degrees.
Special Storage and Transport Conditions
During transport and storage, the magnetic unit of the O-scan system
must be subject to special measures due to the magnetic fringe field
contained in the crate.
☛
No one with electrically, magnetically or mechanically activated
implants, surgical clips, or other ferromagnetic implants shall approach
the magnetic unit.
☛
Do not put ferromagnetic objects near the magnetic unit crate.
☛
Do not put cash machine cards or credit cards, mechanical
wrist-watches, floppy disks, magnetic tapes etc. near the magnetic unit
crate.
☛
Keep the magnetic unit crate at least 1 m (3.28 feet) from large ferrous
masses.
☛
Keep crates containing magnetic units at least 1 m (3.28 feet) apart.
Packaging Symbols
A label, such as that shown in fig. 4.4, is affixed to the magnet shipping
crate to warn of the presence of the magnetic field and the possible
related hazards.
The following symbols are present on the magnet crate and other system
packaging crates:
Do not tip crates
Do not stack crates
