Four insulating mounting feet are supplied with the metal detector. These mounting feet must
be used to ensure proper operation (Figure 8). All four mounting feet must sit flat on the
supporting structure. Do not draw the feet down to the structure by tightening the mounting
bolts, as this will put uneven stresses on the sensing head shell which in turn may cause
instabilities in operation. If the mounting feet do not rest flat on the supporting structure, shim
with appropriate washers until supported evenly.

NOTE:
Only the insulating mounting feet and electrical connections should contact the sensing head.
Conduit attached to the metal detector sensing head should utilize plastic fittings (refer to
