3-7 Setting the DIP Switches

The purpose of the DIP switches
To allow presetting of several functions, this printer provides DIP switches at the
bottom of the printer.

DIP switches SW1 -1 through SW3-10 are arranged starting from the left side.
However, it changes SW1 -1 through SW2-10 by parallel interface method.
Functions of the various switches are shown in the tables on the next page.

Changing the DIP switches

Follow these steps when changing DIP-switch settings.
Turn off the printer.
Use a pointed article, such as a pair of tweezers, to change DIP switch settings.

Move a switch upward to set it to the ON position, and downward to the OFF
position.

Turn the printer back on.

NOTES:

l

Change the DIP switch settings only after you have turned off the printer.

l

Changes in switch settings while the power is turned on will not take effect

until the printer is turned off and then on again, or the RESET switch is
