Inside (SC-S70600 series, SC-S50600 series)
Dirt on any of the following parts may reduce print quality. Regularly clean or exchange these parts as described in the
chapters listed in the reference sections below. The illustration shows the SC-S70600 series.
A
Print head
The print head prints by moving left and right while emitting ink. The print head on the left is “Head1”, the print
head on the right is “Head2”. We recommend that this unit be cleaned at the end of each workday.

B
Media holding plates
The media holding plates prevent the media riding up and keeps fibers on the cut edge of the media from touching
the print head. Position the plates at either side of the media before printing. There are two types: sliding plate and
removable plate.

C
Cutter groove
Pass the blade of a cutter (available in the market) down this groove to cut media.
D
Pressure rollers (high)
There are ten rollers in total; the high pressure rollers are the two on the outside edges. They press down on the
edges of the media when transparent or milky white film is used and during ink layering.

E
Pressure rollers (low)
There are ten rollers in total; all of which are low pressure rollers apart from the two on the outside edges. They press
down on the media during normal printing (which excludes transparent or milky white film loading and ink
layering). The number used varies with the width of the media.
