Heater Temperature
The temperatures for the pre-, platen, and after
heaters can each be adjusted separately.
Note:

The standard heater temperatures are as
follows.
❏
Set the heaters to the temperatures
recommended in the documentation
provided with the media, if available.
❏
Raise the temperature if the print results are
blurred or smudged or the ink clots. Note,
however, that raising the temperature too
high can cause the media to shrink, wrinkle,
or deteriorate.
❏
The time needed for the heaters to reach the
specified temperatures varies with the ambient
temperature.
(1) Use the

buttons to select a heater. From
left, the options are pre-heater, platen heater,
and after heater.
(2) After selecting the desired heater, use the
d
/
u
buttons to choose the temperature.
(3) After making the setting, press the
Z
button.
Additional Dryer
Note:

This menu is displayed only when the optional
additional print drying system (supplied with
the SC-S50600 series; optional with other
models) is installed.

The default setting is set to

fan turns on automatically when printing
starts.

Media Adjust
This menu is used to adjust media when

cannot be used or when reconfiguring media
settings is required due to a change made in printing
conditions after saving the media settings. In this menu,

Head Alignment
individually.
Media adjustment when Auto Media Adjust cannot
be used
When you cannot adjust media using
Auto Media
Adjust
or when banding or graininess is detected in
printing results even after
Auto Media Adjust
has been
performed, select
Feed Adjustment

and
Head Alignment

Standard (Manual)
to take
appropriate actions.
When changing printing conditions after saving
media settings
After saving media settings, select
Feed Adjustment

Auto
in this menu when:

The
Media Tension
or
Media Suction
setting has
been changed in
Advanced Settings

❏
Counterweights have been attached to or detached
from the tensioner;
❏
The standard media unit and the optional heavy roll
media system have been switched; or
❏
The configuration of pressure rollers have been
changed (SC-S70600 series, SC-S50600 series).
When
Platen Gap
has been changed, select
