Provides tests for the user. When a test is in
progress the test LED will light.

Loops the user data at

SBUQLS/QLB, near

Terminates the loop.

Loops the user data at
the remote unit, but
only with a talkwire
management call in
progress.

Terminates the loop.
J) BERT TESTER
A) ON
Performs a bit error
test. Lights the error
LED briefly for every
bit error received.

Terminates the test.
3.4 Configuration menu
The (F) in the text represents the factory default setting. The unit can be
factory defaulted by holding in any one of the DIAL buttons while
powering up the unit, or inserting it in the shelf.
As System, Command Port and Alarm Port menus are not
available in the shelf mounted unit, these menus are “starred”
as unavailable on the terminal screen. Refer to the SBU
Systems manual for details of how to set the Manager card
command port.
The shaded menus apply to the backup modules only, i.e. SBUQLB,
SBUQHB.
