Entek IRD 6666 and 6667 Protection Monitors
Configuration
8.
Press SEL. The monitor removes relay 2 from the channel 1 Alert alarm.
9.
After you have mapped the alarm to the desired relays, select EXIT and press SEL to
return to the MAP 1-3 submenu. You can then map other alarms to relays, or press SEL
again to return to the RELAY submenu.
If you get a “MIXED ALERT DANGR” message after exiting the RELAY submenu,
you have mapped both Alert and Danger alarms to the same relay. Simply go back and
remove the relay from one of the alarms to avoid this message.
Logical alarm mapping (STD MAP = LOGIC)
Logical mapping allows you to map logical combinations of alarms to relays. You can
combine Alert and Danger alarms and use “voting” to activate alarm relays. For example,
you could map any of the following combinations of alarms to a relay:
z
Map channel 1 Danger alarm and channel 3 Alert alarm to relay 2. The relay changes
state when both channels are in alarm. This can be shown as:
relay 2 = channel 1 Danger AND channel 3 Alert
z
Map channel 1 Danger alarm or channel 3 Danger alarm to relay 2. The relay changes
state when either channel is in Danger alarm. This is sometimes referred to as voting,
and can be shown as:
relay 2 = channel 1 Danger OR channel 3 Danger
z
Map channel 1 Danger alarm and both channel 2 Alert alarm and channel 3 Alert
alarms to relay 2. The relay changes state when channel 1 is in Danger alarm, and both
channels 2 and 3 are in Alert alarm. This can be shown as
relay 2 = channel 1 Danger AND channel 2 Alert AND channel 3 Alert.
When you set STD MAP to LOGIC, one new option appears on the RELAY submenu. The
MAPPING option displays a submenu that allows you to assign logical combinations of
alarms to relays.
