Selection/change push button functions:
•
“
Ã
”:
Start change, acknowledge selection.
•
“
ñ
” or. “
ò
”:
Select parameters.
•
“
ï
“ or. ”
ð
“:
Move cursor - change to next line.
•
“ESC”:
Abort last operating step; return to previous screen.
Operating principle:
1. Start parameter change with “
Ã
”.
2. Using “
ñ
” or “
ò
” scroll values, characters, selection lists.
3. If the parameter is set up correctly acknowledge using “
Ã
”.
Hints:
-
Any parameter displayed in grey cannot be selected or changed (only hints or not
available/active option).
-
Set-up is always possible using the “0000” setting (as delivered). Set-up can be
protected from unauthorised manipulation by entering a 4 digit secret code. This
code must then be entered whenever setting up changes are done using the front
mounted push buttons.
Tip:
Note the secret code. Keep it away from unauthorised personnel.
-
Changed settings are only operational when the unit is returned to normal operation
by operating the “ESC” push button a number of times followed by the push button.
Up to this time the unit continues to operate using the previously set parameters.
Attention:
Change the diskette/ATA flash card if the old measured data is to be
used again, when new setting up parameters are stored old measured data on both
the diskette/ATA flash card and the internal memory is deleted.
5.2 Set-up by PC
The Visual Data Manager can also be set up using a PC. In order to do this the
following is available:
-
Front mounted RS 232 operating interface (3.5 mm stereo socket, protected behind
the diskette drive cover)
-
Rear mounted RS 232 or RS 422/485 system interfaces.
Make groups
Parameters, for combining/displaying single channels into groups.
Hint:
Only channels that are allocated to a group can be displayed or saved,
(internal memory and on diskette).
Channels that are not allocated to groups can however be monitored for limit
infringements or be automatically analysed (select this in order to utilise the
memory to its best).
Signal analysis
All settings required so that the signals can be automatically analysed.
Hint:
The signal analysis is stored and can be used on a PC later. This means that
for example daily minima, maxima and averages of a few measurement points can
be read out front end and then displayed as a table or even graphically as a curve.
Helps to optimise memory capacity.
