Table 4-12. Inventory Configuration
Item
Description
Load current configuration
Select this option in case you want to load the current inventory configuration
to the tank selected in the drop-down list “Tank no.”. You may also use this
function to copy a configuration from one tank to the other. See
inventory configuration from one tank to another” on page 86
Tank Capacity
Tank type
Select the tank type that is most suitable for your tank. You may choose one
of the predefined types:
Cylinder
Floating roof
Horizontal LPG
Sphere LPG.
Type
Select the desired type of strapping table and calculation method:
Raw
Northern (relative levels; mostly used in Sweden and Finland)
International (
absolute levels)
Size
Number of strapping points in the Tank Capacity Table. This value is
automatically updated when uploading a TCT in CSV format.
Vapor above max. volume
Vapor volume above the Max. Volume limit. This is used for LPG tanks only.
Maximum volume
The maximum volume that can be stored in the tank.
Minimum volume
This is the volume between the tank outlet and the bottom of the tank.
Sump volume
This is the volume that is left when the tank is emptied down to Zero level. As
an alternative the Sump volume can be included in the Tank Capacity Table. In
this case the base volume at the Zero level is equal to the sump volume.
Ensure that the sump volume is not specified both ways simultaneously.
Tank Shell
Type
Specify if the tank is insulated or not. For an insulated tank the ambient
temperature does not have any influence on shell correction calculations.
Linear expansion coefficient
The Linear Expansion Coefficient is used in calculations of Gross Observed
Volume (GOV) in order to correct for the thermal expansion of the tank wall.
The default value, 0.0000112/°C, is used for mild carbon steel.
Reference temperature
This is the temperature at which the Tank Capacity Table is specified.
Temperatures other than the Reference Temperature are taken into account
and compensated for when performing volume calculations.
