Level switch grounding

The most effective grounding method is a direct connection to earth ground with minimal 
impedance (< 1

). 

Figure 4-3 on page 64

 shows the two grounding screw connections 

provided on the level detector.

Note

Grounding the level detector using a threaded conduit connection may not provide a 
sufficient ground.

Make sure the instrument cable shield is:

trimmed close and insulated from touching the level detector housing.
