Enter the required pace rate or pace rates and transition load using the numeric
keypad, and press the
Enter
key for the new value to be accepted. Press the
Escape
key to return to the
Initial Screen
. Note that the ADR-Auto will only accept a
range of pace rates. This range depends on the load frame being used. See
Appendix 2 for the pace rate limits.
4.7.2 Entering Sample Details
As well as information on the sample type and size, the
Sample Details
screens
allow further information about the sample to be entered. Note that the contents of
the
Sample Details
screens reflect the sample type selected. Press the
Sample
key
and the screen display will be of the form –
Note the down arrow in the bottom of the screen. This indicates that another screen
is available. Press the
Down Arrow
key. The screen display will now be of the
form –
Note that the up arrow in the top right hand corner of the screen. This indicates there
is a previous screen.
The ADR-Auto will calculate the sample’s density from its weight in water and air. If
this facility is required, enter the sample’s air and water weights in the respective
fields. Otherwise enter the sample’s density in the
Sample Density
field. Use the
Escape
key to return to the
Initial Screen
.
Note that the sample details can also be updated after a test has been completed.
4.7.2.1 Type and Shape
The sample type shown is the one selected and is for information only and cannot be
altered here. If it is wrong it must be changed in the
Select Sample
screen under the
menu key. Note that for some sample types, an additional line is shown describing
the sample shape. Thus if a Paving Block Type R has been selected, the sample
shape will be shown as Plain or Chamfered.
4.7.2.2 Reference
If the sample reference is not correct or has not been entered already, it can be
added here.
