4 ADR-Auto

Console

4.1 Foreword

These instructions refer to ADR-Auto machines fitted with version 2.00.000 firmware
and above.

The firmware is the control software which is permanently resident in the machine.

Please contact the ELE Service Department for information on our firmware updating
service.

4.2

ADR-Auto Measurement Modes

The ADR-Auto has two operating modes. With systems fitted with one frame, the
ADR-Auto operates in Mode 1 only. When fitted with two frames, Mode 1 is used for
one of the frames, and Mode 2 for the other. The current operating mode and its
associated frame type (eg. 2000 kN Compression) is shown in the Initial Screen
display.

The ADR-Auto retains the selected mode when it is turned off, and restores that
mode when it is turned on again.

4.3

Front Panel Display and Controls

All the operations of the ADR-Auto are controlled from the front panel which consists
of an LCD display, a keypad, and 4 function keys.

4.3.1 Display

The 8 line display has a bright, easy to read character set which can be seen under
all lighting conditions. When a test is running, the display switches to a large
character mode so that the load measurement can be seen at a distance.
