9.1
Storage of the STP pump
When planning not to use the STP pump over a long period (more than a few months), follow the
precautions below:
1. Store the STP pump in a vertical position. Attach the dedicated legs for standing to the STP-
iXA2205CP(V)/CIP series pumps.
2. Close the inlet port of the STP pump and vacuum it using a backing pump.
3. Introduce dry N

gas or dry air from the outlet port or the purge port.
4. Close the outlet port and purge port.
5. If the STP pump is water cooled, introduce compressed air from one side of the cooling water
port so that no water remains in the STP pump.
6. Store the power unit iPS-1200 in a horizontal position.
7. DO NOT store the STP pump in the following areas:
x
Areas of high humidity, (if it must be stored in a place of high humidity, insulate it from the
outside and use a dehumidifying agent.)
x
Areas prone to temperature extremes. High temperatures of no more than +55 °C (131 °F), and
low temperatures of less than –25 °C (13 °F).
x
Areas where corrosive gases may exist.
x
Areas subjected to water/dampness.
x
Areas subjected to excessive dust.
x
Areas with insufficient ventilation.
x
Areas subjected to strong magnetic and electric fields or radiation.
x
Areas which will be subjected to direct sunlight.
x
Areas subjected to mist.
x
Areas subjected to electric noise and vibration.
