3)
Remove the four nuts and washers from the axle
flange.
4)
Remove the gear motor assembly from the axle.
5)
Disconnect the gear motor cable.
Installation:
1)
Connect the gear motor cable.
2)
Place the gear motor assembly into the axle. Seat
the assembly into the holes of the axle flange.
3)
Assemble the washers and nuts to the gear
motor assembly.
4)
Place new wave washers on the gear motor
output shaft. Do not reuse old wave washers.
5)
Apply Loctite® 243 Blue Threadlocker to the inte-
rior threads of the wheel nut. Place the rear
wheel assembly onto the gear motor output
shaft, tighten the nut to 48 lbf•ft (65 N•m).
6)
Complete the Drive Gear Motor Test.
22.7 Battery Removal and
Installation
Removal:
1)
Stand the robot on end. Disconnect the two elec-
trical cables (located in circled area).
2)
Lay the robot back onto flat ground.
3)
Remove the front cover screws, rear cover
screws, rear washers, and cover.
4)
Disconnect the battery cables from the battery.
5)
Remove the battery fastener nuts, washers,
battery fastener, and battery.
