Individual Paralleled UPS Shutdown
To shut down an individual UPS in the parallel system (see Figure 32 on
page 49):
1.
Switch the load connector circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
NOTE
The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power.
2.
Press any button on the front panel display to activate the menu
options. Select TURN UPS ON/OFF, TURN UPS OFF, and press the
button.
3.
Confirm the selection. Press and hold the
button for three
seconds, until the UPS stops beeping.
The output relays open, the UPS transfers to Standby mode, and
the
indicator turns off.
4.
Switch the UPS battery circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
5.
If optional EBMs are installed, switch all EBM battery circuit
breakers to the OFF (O) position.
6.
Switch the UPS input circuit breaker to the OFF (O) position.
7.
Disconnect the redundant signal cable(s) from the UPS.
8.
Press the
ESC
button until the Eaton Powerware logo appears.
NOTE
If there is only one breaker for all UPSs, do not switch off utility power until all UPSs
are shut down.
9.
Switch off utility power where the UPS is connected.
If you are shutting down all the UPSs in a parallel system, repeat
Steps 1 through 8 for each UPS then remove utility power.
