Password / Encryption pass phrase – be sure to select all the existing dots in the entry
box, press delete, and then make your entry for password, taking care to type it
correctly (see figure below). Press <enter>. Check that the status box in the upper right
hand corner of the screen indicates “Update sent”, then “Refreshing”, and an entry
made remains in the “Password” box.
Be sure to maintain a user with higher or equal access rights as the one being
setup above in case an error is made with the password entry. If this user is an
Administrator and the logon has been checked, any additional and surplus
Administrator accounts can be disabled by deleting the entered information
and setting the account to “Read Only”.
Real time clock
The EFX48 contains a Real Time Clock function which is battery backed by a non-serviceable
primary lithium coin cell. The life of the cell is a nominal 10 years under normal service
conditions.
Date and time can be set via the MMI and also using SNMP commands.
The EFX48 uses UTC time and has no concept of local time zones.
MMI setting for time and date can be accessed via Settings > Display.
Rectifier Functions
Rectifier OVSD function
If a rectifier reports over voltage shutdown (OVSD) then the EFX48 will issue 3 attempts at 30s
intervals to restart the rectifier(s).
Only after all the retry attempts have all failed is a Rect fail or Multi fail alarm raised (and only
if these alarms are enabled in the configuration).
If a rectifier restarts and does not report OVSD within 30s then the OVSD process is terminated
and will start again from the beginning if a further OVSD occurs. Any alarms are cleared after a
successful restart.
OVSD rectifiers can only have further restart attempts applied after a full power down.
Rectifier control
The EFX48 handles the addressing and location of the rectifiers.
On power up EFX48 finds all communicating rectifiers and uses that number as the registered
number of rectifiers. The control function handles the addition, removal and any failure of a
rectifier and presents the appropriate alarms where required.
