USAGE PRECAUTIONS
y
METHOD OF TREATMENT
BEFORE THE SESSION
• Explain the technology and the principle of depilation and/or collagen stimulation to the patient.
• Identify any counter-indication to the application of pulsed light.
• Specify the costs for a session, and other charges.
• Obtain signature of the informed consent form.
• Request that the patient comes to the session with no cosmetic products on their skin (insofar as possible).
DURING THE SESSION
• Confirm the continuing absence of any counter-indication for the patient (specifically the absence of any new treatment in progress).
• Confirm the absence of any cosmetic products on the skin, which may need to be removed using a fragrance-free micellar water solution.
In “depilation” mode
• Moisten, then shave the skink to be depilated using a mechanical
razor.
• Mark out the zone to receive flash treatment using the
Pen
.
• Mask any beauty spots and other brown marks using the
Patches
.
• Fit the
Mask
(protective glasses) to your patient).
• Apply the
Gel
in a thick layer to small zones in succession
(particularly on the legs)
• Check that the filter used is appropriate to the skin colour.
• Set the parameters for
: gender, zone, skin colour, hair
thickness, power level (always start on power level 1, which may
be increased progressively, depending upon skin tolerance).
In “collagen stimulation” mode:
• Mark out the zone to receive flash treatment using the
Pen
.
• Mask any beauty spots and other brown marks using the
Patches
.
• Fit the
Eye
Mask
protective shells to your patient, and check
their correct positioning.
• Apply the
Gel
in a thick layer over small areas.
• Set the parameters for
: gender, zone, skin colour, power
level (always start on power level 1, which may be increased
progressively, depending upon skin tolerance).
• Check that all safety functions have been correctly observed, and release these functions.
• Fit your
Mask
protective glasses.
• Protect any zones which are not to receive flash treatment (e.g. tattoos) using the
stop
protection plate.
• Apply flash treatment to the zone.
• Increase the power level if needed, depending upon the sensation reported by the patient and the absence of any skin reaction.
• Turn off the machine at the end of the session (wait 10 minutes before disconnecting the machine, in order to allow it to cool).
• Remove the
Gel
and rinse the skin (a moisturizing cream may be applied, if required).
• Clean
optical head using a soft cloth dampened with fresh water, and disinfect.
• Clean the internal and external optical components after each session using the
Clean
spray supplied (wait until the fans in the
applicator have shut down).
