(1) Fuse
If the power is not turned on even if the main power and the power switch of the analyzer are set
to ON, the fuses must be replaced.
See “9.5.3 How to replace the fuses” for details.
(2) Flowmeter
The glass tube of the flowmeter may be contaminated or corroded due to contamination of
sample gas or substances except ozone, or the O-ring of the flowmeter with a needle valve may
be degraded, thus inhibiting flow rate from being adjusted properly, or having adverse effect on
the measurement. If the flow rate cannot be adjusted properly due to contamination or corrosion,
these parts are handled as consumables, and require replacement.

(3) Membrane drier
The pipes of the membrane drier may be contaminated or corroded due to contamination of
sample gas or substances except ozone or materials deterioration by the ozone, thus inhibiting
proper dehumidification from being performed and adversely affecting the measurement. If
severe contamination or corrosion is found, these parts are handled as consumables and require
replacement.

(4) Pipes and couplings

The pipes and couplings may be contaminated or corroded due to contamination of sample gas
or substances except ozone or materials deterioration by the ozone, and thus proper
measurement may be inhibited or major components may be adversely affected. Severely
contaminated or corroded pipes and couplings are handled as consumables and require
replacement.

Attachment/detachment
If the nuts of couplings are loosened or pipes are removed frequently, gas leakage may result.
The pipes and couplings having flaws or trace of fastening or attachment/detachment are
handled as consumables and require replacement.
(5) Optical cell
The optical cell may become cloudy due to adherence of contamination in the sample gas or
substances except ozone, thus inhibiting measurement from being performed properly or zero
correction from being performed. Severely contaminated or clouded optical cells are handled as
consumables and require replacement.
* Gas calibration is required basically.
(6) UV sensor
If the UV sensor is used for a long period of time or depending on its state of operations, it may
cause changes in sensitivity or degradation of device itself, thus inhibiting measurement from
being performed properly, or zero correction from being performed.
If the sensitivity of the sensor has changed significantly or the element itself has been
deteriorated severely, they are handled as consumables and require replacement.
* Gas calibration is required basically.
