FRENATA
Salvo casi imprevisti, i freni non devono mai
essere usati troppo bruscamente quando siete
già troppo sotto l’ostacolo. Rallentate prima
usando il motore come freno, rilasciando
l’acceleratore, e poi frenando.
Agendo in tal modo si ottiene anche una
maggiore stabilità del veicolo.
Attenzione
Una frenata efficace si ottiene utilizzando
contemporaneamente la leva e il pedale del
freno. L’utilizzo indipendente di uno dei due
comandi riduce l’efficacia frenante del Vostro
mociclo.
Non azionate bruscamente e con forza eccessiva
i comandi dei freni; potreste causare il bloccaggio
delle ruote con conseguente perdita di controllo
del veicolo.
In caso di pioggia o quando viaggiate su superfici
con poco aderenza l’azione frenante del vostro
veicolo viene notevolmente ridotta. In queste
situazioni azionate i comandi dei freni con molta
dolcezza e attenzione. Manovre improvvise
possono causare la perdita di controllo del
veicolo.
Quando affrontate discese lunghe e ripide
utilizzate la capacità frenante del motore con
scalate di marcia.
Azionate i freni alternativamente e solo per brevi
tratti: un utilizzo continuo causerebbe un
riscaldamento eccessivo del materiale di attrito
con riduzione drastica dell’efficacia frenante.
I pneumatici gonfiati ad una pressione inferiore a
quella prescritta diminuiscono l’efficienza della
frenata e si consumano più rapidamente.
BRAKING
Except when unexpected obstacles come up,
never brake too hard or when you are too close
to the obstacle. Slow down using engine braking
and releasing the twistgrip first, then brake.
This procedure improves motorcycle stability.
Warning
Use both brake lever and pedal for
effective braking. Using only one of the brakes
will give you less braking power.
Never use brake controls harshly or violently or
you may lock the wheels and loose control of the
motorcycle.
When riding in the rain or on slippery surfaces,
braking will become less effective. Always use
the brakes very gently and carefully when riding
under these conditions. Any sudden manoeuvres
may lead to loss of control.
When tackling long, high-gradient downhill road
tracts, shift down gears to use engine braking.
Apply one brake at a time and use brakes
sparingly. Keeping the brakes applied all the time
would cause the friction material to overheat and
reduce braking power dangerously.
Underinflated tyres cause reduced braking
efficiency and wear out more rapidly.
FREINAGE
Sauf en cas d’urgence, les freins ne doivent
jamais être utilisés trop brusquement, lorsque
vous vous trouvez trop près de l’obstacle.
Réduisez d’abord la vitesse en utilisant le moteur
en guise de frein, en lâchant l’accélérateur et en
freinant en dernier.
En agissant de la sorte on obtient en outre une
meilleure stabilité du véhicule.
Attention
Un coup de frein efficace s’obtient en
agissant à la fois sur le levier et la pédale de
frein. L’utilisation indépendante de l’une des
deux commandes réduit l’efficacité du freinage
de votre motocycle.
N’utilisez pas le frein trop brusquement ou avec
une force exagérée; vous pourrez provoquer le
blocage des roues, d’où la perte de contrôle du
véhicule.
En cas de pluie ou lorsque vous roulez sur une
chaussée glissante, la capacite de freinage de
votre véhicule sera sensiblement réduite. En de
pareilles circonstance utilisez les freins
modérément et en faisant bien attention. Les
manoeuvres soudaines peuvent provoquer la
perte de contrôle du véhicule.
Lorsque vous vous trouvez sur des longues et
fortes pentes, utilisez le frein moteur en
rétrogradant. Utilisez les freins de manière
intermittente et uniquement sur de courtes
distances: une utilisation continue provoquerait
une surchauffe des garniture de frein
(plaquettes) avec une forte réduction de la
puissance de freinage.
Les pneus gonflés à une pression inférieure à la
pression indiquée réduisent l’efficacité du
freinage et s’usent plus rapidement.
