Tutorial 16: Adding a Video Element
The DragonFly is capable of showing one video on the screen (note this is not supported on the RE1 based TFT20
Series hardware). This video can either be from a local file on the micro SD card, or from a live network stream.
Refer to the
Video Element
section on page 35 of this manual for more information on supported video formats.
Create a new
1024×768
layout called
VideoDemo
for this tutorial. To add a Video element, select it from the toolbox
under Root Element Tools:
Since the Video element is a root level element, it can be drawn anywhere and does not require an Element Canvas.
This means that it cannot be drawn on top of, and it is recommended that Element Canvas elements not be placed
on top of a Video element.
Draw the Video on to the layout as shown below:
