ARNING

MOVING GATE CAN CAUSE

Operate gate only when gate area is in sight

and free of people and obstructions.

Do not allow children to play in gate area

or operate gate.

Do not stand in gate path or walk through

path while gate is moving.

Read owner’s manual and safety instructions.

SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH

1. Open Beam:

Open Direction Non-Contact Sensor (Photocell)

Obstruction will stop the gate during the open cycle only. Gate resumes open cycle when the obstruction is cleared.

2. Close Beam:

Close Direction Non-Contact Sensor (Photocell)

Obstruction will stop the gate during the close cycle only . Gate resumes close cycle when the obstruction is cleared.

3. Open Edge:

Open Direction Contact Sensor (Reversing Edge)

Stops, then reverses the gate to the full close position,

only during the open cycle.

 •

After the gate reverses to the full close position. The operator will ignore any previous open inputs, remain closed

and enter a soft shutdown condition. Note: If the gate was initially activated by a time clock with a contact closure

across the gate operator open input, this input will be ignored until another input (open loop, reverse loop. etc.) is

received by the gate operator.

 •

When the open reversing edge sensor has been activated, and the gate is traveling to the close position but the

close reversing edge sensor gets activated, the gate will stop and enter a soft shutdown condition.

4. Close Edge:

Close Direction Contact Sensor (Reversing Edge)

Stops, then reverses the gate to the open position,

only during the close cycle.

 •

After the gate reverses to the open position, the timer will automatically close the gate (if it is turned on). If the

close reversing edge sensor is activated a second time prior to the gate reaching the close position, the operator

will stop and enter a soft shutdown condition.

 •

When the close reversing edge sensor has been activated, and the gate is traveling to the open position but the

open reversing edge sensor gets activated, the gate will stop and enter a soft shutdown condition.

Secondary Entrapment Protection Devices  -

In addition to the inherent reversing sensor system, this

operator has provisions for the connection of a non-contact (type B1) and contact (type B2) secondary entrapment protection
required by UL 325 standards. Entrapment protection devices are required to reduce the risk of injury. Install sensors where the
risk of entrapment or obstruction exists while gate is moving. Individual installation positions will vary.

  Photocells must use separate power.

All inputs are Normally open (NO).
