3G Settings
Prodigy ONE can also access the internet via 3G wireless communication. To enable
the 3G functionality, Prodigy ONE must have the USB 3G SIM card adapter installed
and have an active service plan. For more information on the service plan options,
please contact your Prodigy ONE installing dealer or visit the Directus web site.
To setup the 3G connection:
1) Ensure your Prodigy ONE unit has the USB SIM card adapter installed (with
working SIM card) and you have activated a service plan for that card
2) Choose the “3G” icon from the menu screen
2) Using the on-screen keyboard, input the Country Code
US and Canada = 1
3) Next, input the three digit Area Code
4) Next, input the seven digit Phone Number (no spaces)
5) Once complete, choose “Save”, then “Exit”
Your 3G wireless connection should now be set up. If you experience problems, refer to the troubleshooting
section or contact your authorized Prodigy ONE installation center for assistance to verify all hardware is
properly connected.
You must input the data required for a 3G connection using the on-screen
keyboard. Remember for the 3G connection to operate, you must have a SIM card
based data communication service plan already enabled and have that SIM card
installed in the Prodigy ONE’s USB 3G SIM card adapter (purchased separately).
