File Management

Saving or Restoring Configuration Settings
Configuration settings can be uploaded and downloaded to and from an
FTP/TFTP server. The configuration file can be later downloaded to restore
switch settings.
The configuration file can be downloaded under a new file name and then
set as the startup file, or the current startup configuration file can be
specified as the destination file to directly replace it. Note that the file
“Factory_Default_Config.cfg” can be copied to the FTP/TFTP server, but
cannot be used as the destination on the switch.
boot system
This command specifies the file or image used to start up the system.

boot system [ unit : ] { boot-rom: | config: | opcode: } filename
unit - Stack unit. (Range: 1-8)
boot-rom - Boot ROM.
config - Configuration file.
opcode - Run-time operation code.
filename - Name of configuration file or code image.

A colon (:) is required after the specified unit number and file type.

If the file contains an error, it cannot be set as the default file.
