Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus ()
Your IX20 device supports Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus (), a
networking protocol that provides centralized authentication and authorization management for
users who connect to the device. With support, the IX20 device acts as a client,
which sends user credentials and connection parameters to a server over TCP. The
server then authenticates the client requests and sends back a response message to the
device.
When you are using authentication, you can have both local users and users able to
log in to the device. To use authentication, you must set up a server that is
accessible by the IX20 device prior to configuration. The process of setting up a server varies
by the server environment.
