Exporting the Settings File

It is possible to save the SonicWALL configuration information to a “preferences file”
to your computer, and then to load it back into the SonicWALL later.  

1. Click 

Export

 in the 

Preferences

 tab.

2. Click 

Export

 again to download the settings file. Then choose the location to save 

the settings file. The file is named “sonicwall.exp” by default, but may be renamed. 

3. Click 

Save

 to save the file. This process may take up to a minute.

Importing the Settings File

After exporting a settings file, it is possible to import it back to the SonicWALL.
