The
clock summer-time
Global Configuration mode command configures the system to automatically switch to
summer time (daylight saving time). To configure the software not to automatically switch to summer time, use the
no
form of this command.

— Indicates that summer time should start and end on the corresponding specified days every
year.

— Indicates that summer time should start on the first specific date listed in the command and end on
the second specific date in the command.

— The summer time rules are the United States rules.

— The summer time rules are the European Union rules.

week —
Week of the month. (Range: 1-5,

day —
Day of the week (Range: first three letters by name, like
sun
)

date —
Date of the month. (Range:1-31)

month —
Month. (Range: first three letters by name, like Jan)

year —
year - no abbreviation (Range: 2000-2097)

Time in military format, in hours and minutes. (Range: hh: 0-23, mm:0-59)

offset —
Number of minutes to add during summer time. (Range: 1-1440)
•
acronym
— The acronym of the time zone to be displayed when summer time is in effect. (Range: Up to
4 characters)
Default Configuration
Summer time is disabled.
offset —
Default is 60 minutes.
acronym
— If unspecified default to the timezone acronym.
If the timezone has not been defined, the default is UTC.
