As a memory slot has locks, you cannot lock a memory bank that is not properly installed. When seated in place, the
memory bank can be tightly secured.
Installing Swappable Interface Modules (Optional)
During the following procedures, wear an anti-static wrist trap close to your kin and have it properly grounded.
Installing XFP/SFP+/SFP Modules
To avoid damaging components due to operation errors, read this section carefully before installing XFP/SFP+/SFP
modules.
To install XFP/SFP+/SFP modules, do as follows:
1)
1.Take out the XFP/SFP+/SFP module you want to install from the packing bag. D
o not touch the module’s edge
connector.
2)
As shown in Figure 3-35, turn up the handle of the module into the top lock. Hold both sides of the module and push
the module into place (You can feel that the top and bottom locks are placed in position).
Do not remove the protective rubber plug from XFP/SFP+/SFP module before connecting fibers.
Do not insert the XFP/SFP+/SFP module with a fiber into a slot. Unplug the fiber before installing the module.
