Prepare the equipment and move it to the place near the cabinet where you can handle it easily.
Before mounting
the chassis
into the cabinet, you should disassemble its four wheels. The newly-supplied product
has no wheels.
Simple Installation Steps
1)
Horizontally lift the RG-S8614/S8610/S8606/S8606 B by two people on both sides, and slowly move it to the front of
the cabinet.
2)
Horizontally lift the RG-S8614/S8610/S8606/S8606 B to a position slightly higher than the tray or the slide rail of the
cabinet, put the equipment onto the tray or the slide rail, and push it into the cabinet.
3)
Fasten the RG-S8614/S8610/S8606/S8606 B onto the cabinet with screws. There are fastening notches on both
sides of the front panel on the equipment cabinet. Use screws to fasten them to the fastening bracket of the cabinet.
After fastened, the equipment should be stable and still in the cabinet.
Installing Fan Tray
The RG-S8614/S8610/S8606/S8606 B provides a ventilation system:
M8614-FAN for RG-S8614, M8610-FAN for RG-S8610, M8606-FAN for RG-S8606 and M8606 B-FAN for RG-S8606B.
During the following procedure, wear an anti-static wrist trap and have it properly grounded.
Install the fan tray according to the following steps:
1)
Remove the blank panel of the fan tray by loosening the captive screws with a flat screwdriver and the cross screws
with a Phillips screwdriver.
2)
Push the fan into the cabinet along the guide rail.
3)
Tighten the captive screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Figures 3-2 , 3-3, 3-4 and 3-5 show the installed fan tray.
