The
set system mode
is a Priviledged EXEC command to activate/deactivate features
.
The exact syntax is
product specific.
set system mode features control routing

router

switch
}
qos

active

inactive
}
policy-based-vlans

}
no system mode features control
Parameters
•
features control routing
— Configures the device to function as a switch or a router.
•
qos
— Configures the QoS activity status in the device.
•
policy-based-vlans
— Configures the policy based VLAN activity status in the device.
•
active
— Activates the feature.
•
inactive
— Deactivates the feature.
Defaults
The default is product specific

Usage Guidelines
It is required that the running-config file would be empty (default configuration) before executing the command.
After executing the command, a reset is required since the settings would be effective only after reboot.
